Kalindi Malcom, LMFT
Who I am as your therapist?
I bring a grounded and warm presence to my work, creating a space where you feel supported while also gently challenged. I value honesty, open communication, and active engagement in the therapy process.
I have been practicing therapeutic interventions since 2015 and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in 2023. Based in Oakdale, California, I offer both in-person counseling and online therapy, working with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.
I hold a BA in Psychology from Stanislaus State and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Holistic Studies. I am EMDR-trained, certified in compassion fatigue, and currently expanding my training in mindfulness-based therapy and yoga therapy for mental health.
My work tends to resonate with clients who are open to self-reflection, willing to engage actively, and interested in exploring both their emotional and somatic experiences.
How I work:
-
This means living with vulnerability, imperfection, and experiences that shape how we relate—to ourselves and to others.
You are a person.
-
My approach integrates trauma-focused therapy and somatic-based practices to support nervous system regulation, attachment healing, and emotional resilience. I believe therapy is not about having all the answers—it’s about showing up, exploring what feels tender or unresolved, and creating space for meaningful, sustainable change.
-
I don’t sit across from you as someone who has it all figured out. I meet you as another human being who understands struggle, growth, and the ongoing process of becoming. Together, we create a compassionate, grounded space where you can reflect, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.
